Issue 14 FALL VIBES Our Photographers Circle Submission Instructions
CONGRATULATIONS. Get excited! Your photo has been selected to be published in Issue #14 FALL VIBES, of Our Photographers Circle Magazine!!
PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE UNLESS YOU FOLLOW SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS AND DON’T GET A CONFIRMATION BY 5:00pm PST ON THE DAY AFTER THE DUE DATE.
*Occasionally we have to bump images to the next applicable issue, if this is the case we will let you know as we take our pre-selections in order.
Please send an email to ourphotographerscircle@gmail.com by 10/2 at 4:00pm MST.
Please follow these instructions EXACTLY:
⁃ Submit the original high-resolution image (ATTACHED, not in the body of the email) (without a watermark) + up to 5 additional from the same session (varying HORZ and VER if possible). (note, all may not be used but are needed on our end as we curate the publication)
⁃ Submit photos as JPEG attachments (NOT in the body of the email) or a Google Drive link (NO other links or galleries are accepted. Make sure it does not require a password and we can edit it so we may download them.)
- Please label your files as YOURBUSINESS_01.jpeg, YOUR BUSINESS_02.jpeg...
- If you need to send more than one email due to file size, please send no more than three emails and reply to the same email so they stay together.
⁃ CROPPED to 8.5x11 or 11x8.5 for HORZ , MINIMUM 3000px ON THE LONG SIDE at 300 DPI- We are not liable for distorted or cropped images due to incorrect sizing. We cannot publish low resolution images. Images will need to be watermark free for a clean consistent look in the issue. Your work will be credited on or next to the photo. Watermarked images will not be accepted.
- Please note that we do occasionally need to crop images for feature double spreads to fit the layout.
- Please note that when submitting multiple images, we do occasionally publish one of those instead of the original one submitted.
-We copy & paste the following info directly from your email onto your photo, so please double check spelling and typos AND DELETE (“Photographer Name” etc in front). We are not liable for any typos or misspellings.
TO BE CONSIDERED AS A DOUBLE SPREAD FEATURE ARTIST (note that the more complete and full your submission is, the more likely we will select you. Submissions with only 1-2 photos or very little content or no "BONUS" info will likely not be considered.)
Please include the following in the email:

(copy and paste the following and edit the header with your own info and make it follow the format as pictured for your credits. Note: You do not need to paste the info onto the picture yourself, this is just an example of what it will look like)

TO BE FEATURED, complete a little more for us for consideration. Note that we rarely choose photographers for double spreads who have not submitted enough images and content for us to publish.
1-2 Head shots (please label the file name(s) with your name. We are more likely to feature you if your head shot is showing your face and not hidden behind a camera! And please share an image that is just you, and from hips up or closer.)
Paragraph bio (this is optional but encouraged.) We may not include it. We also love to see short excerpts and/or stories about the session, articles from photographers with their shared knowledge relevant to the pictures they have shared etc.
BONUS: Tell us what you love about the fall season, traditions, the mini sessions etc. Or share a tip you have learned to work with sessions in this season, such as throwing the fall leaves, editing the colors, fun props you like to bring etc.
For models, either include their name OR IG handle as there may not be room for both.
For styled sessions, please also include the NAMES ONLY of the creative team (note that only the photographer will be credited on the cover if chosen for as our cover artist)

** Articles (optional) relating to photography growth and education are always being accepted and considered for this and future issues. Simply contact us with an article you have already written OR if your interested in writing one and we will chat. This is a great opportunity to promote what additional things you offer (classes, presets, mentor programs etc)
** We are also looking for before and after pictures with articles about your edit technique and presets, such as screen shots and a step by step guide. Email us if you have content for this!

By Submitting your images you are acknowledging you have the rights of said photos, please make sure you have a release from your clients! If you are submitting photos of a minor, you MUST have permission from their parent/ guardian to do so. And you are agreeing to let Our Photographers Circle Magazine print and share your work on O.P.C.M. social media.
